Frederic C. Bartter Visiting Professors
After Dr. Frederic C. Bartter’s death in 1983, the Bartter family established this two-day visiting professorship to provide UTHSCSA fellows and trainees an opportunity to interact with premier clinical investigators from around the country. We use the professorship to receive feedback and critique from the visiting investigators regarding our research and education programs. Activated in 1992, the professorship has invited many outstanding clinical researchers to the UTHSCSA campus.

The Master of Science in Clinical Investigation program built on the Bartter Professorship experience to establish a new lectureship program, “Frontiers in Clinical Research Methodology.” Investigators working to refine and test research and analytic methods are invited to the UTHSCSA each year to present seminars for the MSCI program and a lecture for the whole campus.
